Preventive Dentistry and Gum Treatment

From the youngest patients to seniors, we are committed to making each visit pleasant and comfortable. We especially love our little patients. With all of them, we take time to listen and gather information to do a diagnosis and explain how we can help before treatment begins.

Early detection is the key to avoiding costly and painful dental treatment. Prevention begins with the control of plaque and calculus, the main cause of decay and periodontal disease. In fact, the major cause of tooth loss in adults is periodontal disease, which is known as the silent killer of teeth because most patients feel no symptoms until it's too late. With regular dental visits, we can treat gum disease at an early stage, before it gets out of hand.

• Sealants - Both of our hygienists provide sealants for children to prevent cavities.
• Patient Education - Our dental hygienists and assistants, as well as our doctors, spend unrushed time explaining all of the dental procedures to you. In addition, all of our operatories are equipped with television monitors and computers loaded with information on dentistry in an easy-to-understand manner.

• Periodontal Therapy - All of our periodontal therapy is accomplished with the laser. We have found there is no better way to treat the gums than with the laser because it is fast, painless and produces an incredibly quick healing time.
• Argon Dental Laser - In 1993, our office became the first to use the Argon Dental Laser for periodontal (gum) therapy and oral surgery.
