Laser Dentistry

We are the only dental office in Lehigh Valley using laser dentistry to remove decay from a tooth without a noisy drill or a shot of anesthesia. We have four types of lasers to help detect cavities at their earliest stages, as well as to remove them quickly and painlessly. We also use lasers for gum therapy, which allow for exceptionally fast healing.

  • VersaWave Laser

  • Waterlase Laser - With lasers being the dominant instrument of choice in eye surgery, dermatology, surgery and other medical fields, it was only a matter of time before they became the instruments of choice in dentistry. We have obtained the very first dental laser in the Lehigh Valley allowing us to remove decay from a tooth--without using a drill or shot of anesthesia (Novocaine).

The Waterlase works because of its patented Hydrokinetic energy, which is produced by emitting laser energy into a spray of atomized water. The water is energized and is capable of cutting a wide range of human tissue including enamel (the hardest substance in the body), bone, cartilage and soft tissue.

Most procedures can be done without anesthesia, without needles or patient trauma. The new Waterlase Laser focuses its wavelength on the water it sprays out, instead of on the tooth, so the tooth doesn't heat up. This hydrokinetic process then activates the microscopic droplets of water, and it is the water that painlessly removes the tooth decay--all without the need for anesthesia.

  • DIAGNOdent - One of the most important things we do for our patients is to identify and fill cavities. Since even the smallest spot of decay can threaten the integrity of the entire tooth, finding and filling cavities is the key to preventing further problems of all kinds. Cavities often hide along fissure lines, or inside biting or occlusal surfaces. Further, most mechanical exploratory methods are limited to finding only those cavities that are equal to or larger than the probe head. For all these reasons, we've invested in DIAGNOdent: a revolutionary new, thorough means of detecting cavities via sound mass. Your exam is fast, easy and nearly imperceptible.

  • Lasersmile T Diode Laser - enables our doctor to perform whitening procedure more effectively. The treatment takes shorter time and will provide dramatic change promoting patient comfort, safe, and confident.
